Little Picassos

I thought it would be fun for the kids to go outside and finally be allowed to get totally crazy and messy with the finger paints. I laid out a large piece of paper, squirted loads of paint on it and told the kids to smear it all around with their fingers and toes. They looked at me like I was nuts! C.J. decided to just go for it, and had a ball. The girls had to think about it for a minute, but then began getting creative, and Chance, well, he just didn't know what to think.

Look at those feet! C.J. even found a rock to paint with (in his right hand). Very clever! Cailyn decided to go the paint brush route.

She worked up an appetite. Cailyn likes to pull her crackers apart and eat the cheese in the middle and leave the cracker for architectural purposes. After she made this, she said, "Look Nanel, a triangle."

Cailyn cracks me up! She insisted that going outside required one mitten and a winter hat. Better to hold her stick with.

Super Kids!

Thank goodness for landscaping. Since we've updated our backyard, I've realized that there's no need for swing sets, wagons, balls, and the like. All we needed were some mulch beds. They love chasing each other around them, and I love watching Cailyn lap everyone! That girl is speedy!

The Wiggles!!!!

Chance was lounging on "his chair" and along comes Avery to join. So cozy!

Everyone is asleep dreaming of their evening with THE WIGGLES! We love basement nap time!

Here we are at The Wiggles show. The kids really didn't know what to think about the real life Wiggles being on a stage right in front of them. We watched them on T.V. throughout the day, and they went nuts, singing and dancing. When they came out on stage, the kids really had no reaction. C.J. got into it right away, however, and he's the one who usually doesn't get too excited over them. Finally, toward the end, Chance got down and started to dance like a nut!

After the show, we attempted a group photo (notice they are all wearing their "Ritter's Critters" tees), but this is the best I could get. I think they were tired and hot, and ready to go!

Chance: "Hey Dan - el, look what I brought today to play with."

Chance: "Oh geesh, why does everyone have to play with MY toy?!"

Chance: "Fine, I'll just go over here, be stubborn, and not play with you guys...AND give you mean looks."

"Oh, here's how it works. Did someone leave, because we have so much more space to play now!"

Nevaeh's Back!

Nevaeh has returned to Ritter's Critters after getting to spend the summer with her sisters. She was very excited to play with her Critter Friends. We enjoyed lots of dancing, and Nevaeh teaching us cheers.
